The Barclays English Premier League started in 1992. Two decades later, the top clubs are dominated by the in flux of foreign players. There is virtually no team in the top flight of English football that doesn't have at least five foreign players in their starting line up. Manchester City's starting line up includes the likes of Balotelli, Aguero,Dzeko,Silva,Toure,Kompany,Kolarov and De Jong. Arsenal's staring eleven include players like Van Persie, Rosicky, Gervinho,Sagna,Szczesney,Song and Vermaelen. Liverpool's starting eleven has players like Suarez,Enrique,Agger,Skrtel,Reina and Kuyt. Chelsea's starting eleven is made up of Drogba, Mata,Ramires,Cech,Ivanovic and Mikel.
The scorers's chart is being led by Dutch International, Robin Van Persie. There's hardly any European team that has achieved success without having a bulk of their players dominating the first eleven of their local clubs. Most Spaniards plies their trade in the La Liga and players from Germany are based in the Bundesliga. These two nations are ranked among the best teams in the World by FIFA. There is an urgent need for the English FA to work on how to raise quality players that will dominate the top clubs in the English Premiership.
