Marseille VS Bayern preview

Olympique Marseille of France will host Bayern Munich of Germany at the Stade Velodrome on Wednesday night.This will be the first meeting between the two sides. The first leg quarter final match is a tricky tie for the Bavarians that eliminated FC Basel in the round of 16 via a seven one aggregate scoreline. Mario Gomez is the tournament's second top scorer with 11 goals. Marseille defeated Internazionale on away goals rule. The French side won their first leg tie by a lone goal and lost 2-1 in Italy. The Germans are highly favoured to qualify for their second semi final in three seasons having reached the final in 2010. Marseille keeper, Steve Mandanda has been suspended for today's match while Loic Remy will also be missing in action due to injury.
Andrew Ayew and Brandao will lead the front line of the French club.
Bastian Schweinsteiger  is  out for Bayern Munich. The German midfielder couldn't make the trip to France due to injury. A win for Bayern will be Marseille's 10th home defeat in their last 19 Champions League fixtures.
