Europa League Preview.

Three Spanish teams will be involved in this season's Europa League semi final matches. Sporting Lisbon of Portugal will host Athletic Bilbao of Spain. The Portuguese club were responsible for the ouster of Manchester City from this season's Europa League while their visitors eliminated another Manchester Club in the last 16(Manchester United.) The last time these two teams clashed in Lisbon, Bilbao were crushed 3-0. Bilbao have only lost once to Portuguese teams,though Sporting have not tasted defeat this term.
Capel,Van Wolfswinkel and Izmailov will lead the Portuguese assault while Matias and Schaas will be in the midfield.
Fernando Llorente,Susaeta and Munain will form a three man attack for the Spaniards. Susaeta scored a fantastic goal against Schalke 04 in the quarter final. Llorente has always been destroying the back line of their previous opponents.


Our prediction: Sporting 3-2 Bilbao

In Madrid, Atletico will host Valencia in an all-Spanish affair. Valencia were white-washed 4-0 by Espanyol in their last La liga encounter. Radamel Falcao and Adrian have scored eight goals each and they will intend to add to their goal tallies over the two-legged encounters. Roberto Soldado remains Valencia's main threat in the  attack. The capital club have a superior goal scoring record over the remaining teams in this competition. The Madrid side have scored a total of 25 goals in this competition. The last meeting between these two clubs in an European competition ended in a 0-0 draw after Atletico had grabbed a 2-2 away draw at the Mestalla Stadium. Valencia's last visit to Madrid ended in a 0-0 draw against Real two weeks ago.Diego Gordin has been suspended for this match.
