Mexico are the new Olympic soccer champions.

Mexico stunned Brazil in the Men's Olympic football final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon. The el-Tri colour defeated highly rated Brazil by two goals to one win the gold medal of London 2012 Olympic games. The Brazil under 23 side conceded the first goal after 29 seconds of action against the hard-working Mexicans. Marco Fabian dispossessed Rafael da Silva inside the opening minute and fed Oribe Peralta with a lovely pass in the 29th second. Peralta wasted no time in firing the ball past Gabriel. The Brazilian side missed several opportunities to equalize and they were punished by Peralta once again. On the 75th minute mark a great cross from Fabian who operated on the left hand side of the Brazilian defence was nodded in by Peralta to make it 2-0. Hulk pulled one back for the Selacao, but that was not enough to save them from defeat. The Mexican team comprised of several members of the 2005 FIFA under 17 World Championship winning side.
