Ahead of the 2014 FIFA World cup qualifier against Moldova and Ukraine, the three lions of England have been plagued with injuries. Andy Carroll has been ruled out of the match due to an injury he sustained last Saturday. The West Ham striker who is on a season-long loan from Liverpool fell awkwardly after he clashed with Brede Hangeland. He will be out of action for six weeks.
New Sunderland winger, Adam Johnson is the latest player to be ruled out of the World cup qualifiers. The former Manchester City player had a harmstring injury while training with the England squad. It will be recalled that Wayne Rooney had earlier been ruled out for two months after he suffered a big cut in his thigh at the Old Trafford on match day 2 of the EPL season.
