Goals galore in Capital One Cup

The round of 16 of the English League Cup was completed on Wednesday night with a nine goal thriller at the Stamford Bridge. Arsenal produced an unbelievable comeback win at the Madjeski Stadium on Tuesday night to open the floodgate of goals in other fixtures.
Reading scored four unreplied goals against Arsene Wenger's men within the first 40minutes of action.
Arsenal seemed to be crashing out of the competition even before the end of the first half, but Theo Walcott gave the 'Gunners' a lifeline with a late first half goal to make it 4-1. After the restart, Wenger's men stepped up their game and scored 2 more goals before Maroune Chamakh equalised in the 95th minute of play(after four minutes of added time) to make it 4-4.

Extra time
Arsenal scored 3 more goals in the extra time while Pogrebnyak scored 1 more goal for the hosts, but that wasn't enough to prevent Arsenal from progressing to the last eight of the tournament.

Aston Villa edged out Swindon town by 3-2 in a five goal battle. Gabriel Agbonlahor was on the scorers' sheet, while Christian Benteke continued his goal scoring spree in English football as he grabbed a brace for Steve Bruce's men.

Battle of the Titans
Chelsea enjoyed a quick revenge over Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge with an unprecedented 5-4 win. United led their hosts by 2-1 at half time, but surrendered their 3-2 lead in the 90th minute when Eden Hazard scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-3.

In the extra time, Chelsea scored 2 more goals but Ryan Giggs scored his second of the night to make it 5-4 in Chelsea's favour.

Leeds United,Middlesbrough,Swansea City and Bradford City are the other clubs that also booked their places in the last eight of the cup.
