Man United displace Chelsea from the summit of EPL

Manchester United have moved to the top of the English Premiership after Saturday's round of games in the world' most prestigious football league. The 'Red devils' defeated Arsenal by 2-1 at the Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Ex-Arsenal striker and Dutch international, Robin Van Persie scored the first goal of the game within just three minutes of action. Sir Alex Ferguson's men started the game on a fast pace.
Rafael's cross from the right flank was turned in by Van Persie after Thomas Vermaelen failed to clear the ball in the penalty area.
Arsenal defence was generally poor, but Vito Mannone made some stunning saves to keep his team in the game. Mike Dean awarded a penalty to Manchester United in the 45th minute, but Wayne Rooney missed his spot kick.
After the restart, Oliver Giroud's effort cam off the post, but Patrice Evra made it 2-0 for the hosts. The Frenchman rose above other players in the penalty box to meet Ashley Young's cross.
Jack Wilshere was sent off in the 69th minute before Santi Cazorla scored Arsenal's consolatory goal in the 95th minute.
Chelsea played a 1-1 draw with Swansea while Manchester City played a goalless draw with West Ham United. United are now on top of the log standings with 24 points, Chelsea are second with 23 points.
