The 'Stallions' of Burkina Faso can be tagged as the surprise team of the tournament. The West African nation will be playing her second semi final match in the history of the African cup of nations. The Francophone nation finished fourth when they hosted the competition in 1998.
Ghana are appearing in their fourth consecutive semi final since 2008. The 'Black Stars' of Ghana have not lifted the AFCON trophy since 1982.
Ghana won their group with seven points and defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in the last eight depite having a poor outing.
The Ghanaians have to be wary of threat posed by Alain Traore who is the joint-top scorer with three goals. The Lorient striker missed the quarter final fixture due to injury.
