Cavani joins PSG from Napoli

Edinson Cavani has completed a £55m move from Napoli to Paris Saint Germain. The Uruguayan striker scored 40 goals for his club last season. The player also scored some fantastic goals for his country at the FIFA confederations cup in Brazil.

Cavani came into limelight when he was a thorn in the flesh of top European sides in the UEFA champions league in the 2011-2012 season.

He has been linked with a £40m move to Chelsea before PSG hijacked the player.

PSG will find it difficult to have a pair of Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their starting line up next season.

The Swedish player has declared his intention to join an English premier league club before the start of next season.

PSG won the French ligue 1 for the first time in 19 years under Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian is now the new Real Madrid manager.
