Arsene Wenger named Nicklas Bendtner and Lukas Fabianski in the starting line up while Jose Mourinho included Juan Mata and Cesar Azpilicueta in his team.
The visitors had less than 48 hours to rest after their 2-1 win over Manchester City in the EPL.
Cesar Azpilicueta's shot beat Fabianski in the 28th minute before Mata's second half pilediver gave the West London club an easy passage to the last 8 of the tournament.
Swansea won the last edition of the Capital One cup in the 2012/2013 season.
