Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'or award as the best player in the world. The Portuguese and Real Madrid star beat the likes of Lionel Messi and Frank Ribery. The gala night was held in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday night.

He scored 66 goals in 56 matches. The former Manchester United star scored four goals for Portugal in the two legged play off ties against Sweden.
This the second time Ronaldo will emerge as the best player in the world after his success in 2008. Messi won the award from 2009-2012.
