Brazil knocks out Colombia

The Samba boys of Brazil are through to the semi final of the 2014 FIFA World cup. The five time champions defeated Colombia by 2-1 in Fortaleza on Friday night.

Captain of the side, Thiago Silva bundled Neymar's corner kick into the net after seven minutes of action.

The captain won't be available for the next match against Germany after picking up his second yellow card of the mundial.

The Brazilians were able to contain the Colombians who were appearing in their first ever quarter final.

In the second half, Brazil extended their lead to 2-0 via a free kick.  David Luiz converted the set piece from 30 yards.
