Bayern Munich were beaten 2-0 in the city of Leverkusen. The former German Champions suffered a big blow to the title aspirations as the Bravarians went down away from home. A 79th minute goal by Stefan Kiessling and a stoppage time winner from Karim Bellarabi were enough for Leverkuesen to defeat Bayern Munich.
David Alaba's header was saved by the Leverkusen while FIFA World Youth Championship 2007 star,Tony Kroos put his rebound wide. The Bayern defence was very weak throughout the match.
The result means that Bayern could slip to third by late Sunday, depending on the result of Monchengladbach's game away to Nurnberg. Meanwhile, Leverkusen climbed to within four points of Schalke and a Champions League spot.
