Newcastle makes U-turn on Carroll.

Newcastle United have launched a fresh bid to bring Andy Carroll back to the Sport Direct Arena. The Tyneside are ready to pay 23 million Euros for their former striker. Newcastle's £17million was rejected by the Reds last week, but Alan Pardew seems to be keen on getting the pony-tail player back in his camp. Demba Ba and Papiss Demba Cisse scored about 30 goals between them last season while Andy Carroll was a major flop for the Anfield side under Kenny Dalglish. The arrival of Fabio Borini and the rumour around the arrival of Clint Dempsey from Fulham might contribute to the eventual sale of the former Newcastle hitman. Brendan Rodgers' remarks on his desire to keep Carroll is under threat.
