Great Britain has been sent out of the men's football event of London 2012 Olympics. The quarter final match was played at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff. Stuart Pearce men went behind earlier in the first half before Aaron Ramsey scored from the penalty spot. His spot kick was poorly taken and he was lucky to have scored. Minutes later, Daniel Sturridge was tripped in the penalty box by a Korean defender. Ramsey took another poor penalty which was saved by the Korean keeper. The second half ended goalless and both teams failed to score after 30 minutes of extra time. In the ensuing penalty shoot out, Daniel Sturridge missed the last kick for Britain as they lost 5-4 on penalties. The Asians were the better side during the 120 minutes of football action. Brazil,Japan and Mexico are the other semi finalists of the men's football event.
