The January transfer window opened on January 1st, 2013. This is a period for clubs to strenghthen their teams. Some prospering clubs like Manchester United and FC Barcelona may not buy players this time around. Cristiano Ronaldo is not expected to leave Real Madrid this month despite a report that suggested that PSG are ready to land the Portuguese star.

Here are the latest transfer rumours from around the world.
Daniel Sturridge is set to complete his £12m move from Chelsea to Liverpool. The former Man City striker has been declared surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Joe Cole and Glen Johnson are other ex-Chelsea players that are on the payroll of the Anfield club.

Liverpool are pondering about putting an end to the loan deal of Nuri Sahin. The Turkish international has failed to make a meaningful impact at Liverpool and the Real Madrid midfielder may be offered to Inter Milan of Italy. The Turk has recovered from an injury he sustained not too long ago.
