Nigeria vs Burkina Faso preview

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will return to the African cup of nations after missing the last edition that was co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in 2012.

Stephen Keshi has named 17 debutants for the soccer showpiece in South Africa. Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama,Austin Ejide,John Mikel Obi and Elderson Echiejile have participated at the tournament in the past.

Nigeria set up a camp in Faro,Portugal some few weeks after they defeated Venezuela by 3-1 in an international friendly.

The team played a 1-1 draw against Catalonia before settling for a goalless draw when they met Cape Verde.

Nigeria defeated Rotterdam by 1-0 and a second division team by 5-0 before the flying to South Africa last week.

Ahmed Musa,Victor Moses and Ikechukwu Uche are expected to be on the starting lineup.

Vincent Enyeama will be in goal while Joseph Yobo and Mikel are going to keep their places in the starting eleven.

Burkina Faso have never beaten the Super Eagles in a major competition. The Francophone nation failed to win a match at AFCON 2012.

Super Eagles should be wary of Dagano and Alain Traore.
