Bayern and Chelsea bids farewell to UCL

Defending champions of the UEFA champions league have been sent packing by Real Madrid. Bayern Munich were crushed 5-0 on aggregate. The Bavarians were beaten 1-0 in Madrid despite having over 70% of the ball possession.

Pep Guardiola's men were humiliated by 4-0 at the Allianz Arena in the second leg. Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos scored a brace each.

On the other hand, Chelsea's quest for a third successive European crown was halted by Atletico Madrid.  After a goalless first leg at the Vicente Calderón, Chelsea were turn apart at the Stamford Bridge in London.

Fernando Torres opened the scoring in the 37th minute. Adrian levelled scores for the visitors in the 44th minute.

After the restart, Diego Costa made it 2-1 from the penalty spot. Samuel Eto'o committed a foul in the penalty box. The Spaniards added a third goal to make it 3-1.
