CAF Champions League: Sunshine crushed in Angola.

Sunshine Stars of Nigeria were beaten four goals to one on Sunday by Recreativo de Libolo of Angola. The CAF Champions League match  was a first leg second round clash that the Nigerians were not expected to lose based on their performance in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2011 when they got to the last four of the competition. The score line was 1-1 after 80 minutes of play, but due to an injury that was sustained by the first choice goal keeper of the Nigerians, Recreativo scored three goals within the last ten minutes of the game as the Sunshine defence went to sleep. The Nigerian club must win 3-0 in the return leg if they hope to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

In Port Harcourt, Dolphins FC defeated Coton Sport Garoua of Cameroon in another Champions League match that was played on Sunday at the Liberation Stadium. Omoh Ojabu scored the winning goal for the reigning Nigerian Champions who dispatched El Nguema 6-0 on aggregate in the first round of the competition.
