The Nigerian senior national team officials have put Daniel Akpeiye on standby after Austin Ejide(one of the Super Eagles keepers) got injured.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are preparing for the forth coming African Cup of Nations in South Africa. The team played a 0-0 draw against Cape Verde on Wednesday.
Nigeria's first match at AFCON 2013 will be against Burkina Faso on January 21st.
Austin Ejide has a harmstring and the medics are currently keeping watch on him in Faro,Portugal.
January 16th is the date the team will land in South Africa.
