Scintillating Liverpool scores again

Liverpool recorded a scintillating victory over Norwich City at Anfield. The Reds needed to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Manchester United in order to continue their upward movement on the league table.

Brad Jones replaced injured Pepe Reina between the sticks while Jordan Henderson replaced Joe Allen in the starting eleven.

The Englishman justified his inclusion in the squad when he put Liverpool 1-0 with a 20-yard strike.

Luis Suarez scored his 20th goal of the season after Sturridge deceived Norwich defenders by allowing a sublime pass to evade him. The Uruguayan followed up the ball and put his team 2-0 up after 36 minutes.

Second Half
After the break, Liverpool continued to dominate the game and they were rewarded with a third goal by Daniel Sturridge. Suarez's effort across the goal was tapped in by Daniel Sturridge.

He is the first Liverpool player to score in each of his first three games for the club since 1974.

Steven Gerrard reminded the fans of his trademark shots. The England captain rifled an unstoppable shot from 30 yards to give his side a 4-0 lead.

Raheem Sterling's effort completed the rout. The youngster's shot went in off a Norwich player to make it 5-0 for Brendan Rodgers' men.

Liverpool is now seventh on the league table.
