Sunderland will meet Manchester City in the final, but even a defeat will not stop them from competing in next season's UEFA Europa League. This is as a a result of Manchester City's top four standing in the English premiership. Man City will automatically play in the UEFA Champions League based on their top four finish which is almost certain after 22 matches. The English FA will have no other option, but to cede the Europa League spot to Sunderland whether they win the Capital one cup final or not.
Meanwhile, the venue for this year's UEFA Europa League is the Wembley stadium in London.
Congratulations to Sunderland manager-Gus Poyet and every other person associated with the club despite their poor 19th place position in the English premier league.
