Napoli sent packing by Chelsea.

Chelsea have qualified for the quarter final of this season's UEFA Champions League after an emphatic 4-1 win over Napoli at the Stamford Bridge. The Italians went to London with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg and they were looking very dangerous in the first 20 minutes of the game. Petr Cech made series of superb saves to deny the Italians from taking the lead. After 28 minutes Didier Drogba nodded in a goal for his team off a cross from Ramires. John Terry made it 2-0 some few moments after the restart before Napoli's away goal was scored in the 55th minute by Gokhan Inler. He fired a shot from close range to give his side a glimpse of hope, but a penalty was awarded to Chelsea in the 75th minute after Andrea Dossena handled the ball with his arm after a corner kick was taken by Chelsea. Frank Lampard stepped up to make it 3-1.

Branislav Ivanovic eventually scored the winner in the first period of extra time after Fernado Torres had missed a golden opportunity to score for Chelsea. Roberto di Matteo has won his first three matches since he took over from AVB and his mext assignment will be in the FA Cup on Saturday when Chelsea will host Leicester City. Napoli have now lost their first match after been unbeaten for over 4 weeks in all competitions. Mazzarri disclosed that his side lacked experience and that there is a need for him to rebuild the Napoli team.
