Chelsea sinks Arsenal at the Bridge

Chelsea FC defeated Arsenal in a London derby on Sunday. The reigning FA cup champions scored two quick goals within the opening 20 minutes of the game.

Juan Mata gave Rafael Benitez's side the lead before Ramires was fouled by Arsenal goal keeper after some minutes.
The referee awarded a penalty to Chelsea and booked the Polish keeper.

Frank Lampard converted the penalty to put his side 2-0 up. Chelsea created series of chances but they failed to add more goals to the two they scored. Ramires was through on goal after a counter attack, but the Brazilian ballooned the ball over the bar.

Eden Hazard's effort was parried away by the Polish striker in the 20th minute.

Second Half
Arsenal started the second half with more urgency. The 'Gunners' piled a lot of pressure on the hosts and it paid off in the 58th minute. Arsenal launched a counter attack and Theo Walcott scored a brilliant goal by slotting the ball in the top left corner of Petr Cech's domain.

Oliver Giroud should have scored when he had a free header later in the match.

Fernando Torres was a big flop in the match. The Spaniard failed to beat Arsenal keeper after he won a midfield tussle.

Demba Ba's late goal attempt was cleared away by Thomas Vermaelen who was the only man left in the box after a good counter attack by Chelsea.

Arsenal's next EPL game will be against West Ham United on Wednesday.
