Esperance Sporive de Tunis defeated Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the titanic battle that was played on Sunday night. The CAF Champions League group B fixture was played at the El Menzah stadium in Tunis. The defending champions came into the game with six maximum points from their previous two matches while Etoile had four points from the same number of games.Khaled Mouelhi scored from the penalty spot after 41 minutes of action. Esperance have a 100% record by winning all their three matches played so far. Etoile and Sunshine are tied on four points each, but Sunshine Stars of Nigeria are now second in the group table after they defeated ASO Chlef of Algeria 2-0 in Ijebu Ode,Nigeria. Olorundare and Izu Azuka were the scorers of the day. The Nigerians also got a goalless away draw against Etoile du Sahel two weeks ago.
