Robin Van Persie is definitely not an happy man. The Arsenal captain's displeasure at working with Arsene Wenger at the end of last season forced the Gunners' manager to sign players like Oliver Giroud and Lukas Podolski from Montpellier and Cologne FC respectively. Van Persie was the best player in the English Premiership last season. He scored a total of thirty goals despite his club's third place finish on the league table. The Dutch International has been linked with numerous clubs across Europe. Big spending Manchester City is among the clubs that wanted to sign the Arsenal forward. Roberto Mancini's interest in the spectacular striker seems to have cooled off. Juventus have also pulled out of the race to sign him. Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson is keen on getting the Orange player to his squad. The Scot didn't travel with his team as they played a goalless draw against Valeranga of Norway in a pre-season friendly over the weekend. Arsenal want to sell the player for a fee of around £28 million. If Van Persie doesn't leave the club by the end of this month, it will be interesting to see whether the fans of the club will still applaud him as they used to do in the time past. Manchester United's Wayne Rooney was formerly in RVP's position, but he had a rethink following the upward review of his weekly wages to £250,000.
