EPL Week 6 round up

Arsenal moved to points clear at the top of the table after a 2-1 win against Swansea City at the Liberty stadium on Saturday evening. Ramsey scored his 6th premiership goal in that match.

Tottenham Hotspur managed to play a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at the White Hart Lane. Gylfi Sigurdsson gave AVB's men the lead with a great left footer that beat Petr Cech at the near post.

Spurs could have doubled their lead when Paulinho was put through on goal,but he could only fire into the side net from close range.

Juan Mata's free kick was tapped in by John Terry in the second half. Fernando Torres was sent off after a second booking. The former Liverpool man could be banned for up to four matches after he appeared to have scratched the face of a Spurs player.

Manchester United made their worst start to the season in 24 years after a shocking home loss to West Bromwich Albion. Wayne Rooney's freekick put the Red devils on level terms before a late winner by the visitors. United are now 12th on the log standings.

At the Villa Park,Manchester City suffered a 3-2 defeat in the hands of Astton Villa. The Blue side of Manchester failed to get a point despite scoring the first goal. City are on 10 points after 6 games.

Southampton continued their roller-coaster start after a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Paul Lambert scored a spectacular free kick in the second half to ensure his team are in the top 4 of the table.

Fulham were beaten by Cardiff City at the Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Norwich City moved to the 14th position after a 1-0 away win over Stoke City. Hawson's 25 yard shot was enough to give the visitors their second league win of the season.

Sunderland succumbed to the superior fire power of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. Sturridge gave Liverpool the lead in the 28th minute. His header went in off his arm after Gerrard's corner kick.

The in-form striker turned out to be the provider of the remaining two goals. He nutmegged past a couple of defenders before releasing Suarez who was left with a simple tap to make it 2-0.

After the restart,Sunderland pulled a goal back after Simon Mignolet's initial save was not cleared by the Reds back line.

Suarez and Sturridge combined to produce a fantastic goal in the 89th minute via a counter attack. The Uruguayan picked the ball from his own half and exchanged passes with Sturridge before he made it 3-1.

Liverpool are now placed 2nd on the league table with 13 points.

Newcastle United succumbed to a 3-2 loss against Everton at the Goodison Park on Monday night.

The Toffees are now 4th on the table.
