Mario Gomez to join Fiorentina-Bayern

The reigning German and European club champions-Bayern Munich have confirmed that Mario Gomez is on his way to Fiorentina of Italy. The German striker was one of the top scorers in Europe two seasons ago, but his form seems to have dropped over the past 12 months.

The impending arrival of Robert Lewandowski is another reason why Gomez will leave the Bavarians. Jurgen Klopp has disclosed that Lewandowski will join the German champions this summer.

Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal to sign Henrikh Mhiktaryan from Spartak Moscow of Russia.

Battle of Bernebeu

The UEFA Champions League semi final matches for this season will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The first match is between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish giants were seriously humiliated by a Lewandowski-inspired Dortmund side. The match ended by 4-1 in favour of the Bavarians.

Cristiano Ronaldo passed a fitness test and Sunday night and he has resumed training with his team mates on Monday. The Portuguese star missed the Madrid derby win over Atletico Madrid due to injury.

Ronaldo scored his side's only goal in Germany. The German side will go through if they don't lose by more than a three goal margin. A 4-1 defeat will take the match to extra time while a 3-1 loss won't deny them a final ticket.

Jose Mourinho has stated that he should be blamed if his side fail to qualify for the final. The Portuguese tactician is in his sixth semi final in the history of the competition.

Our prediction for the night:
Madrid 3-2 Dortmund
