West Ham pulls out of Carroll deal.

West Ham United have withdrawn their bid for Liverpool's Andy Carroll. The former Newcastle United forward has been an object of transfer speculation since the end of last season. Newcastle's £17 million bid was rejected by the Reds, but a loan move that worth about £18 million was agreed between the Hammers and the Anfield giants.Carroll arrived Liverpool in January 2011 for a record fee of £35 million, but he has failed to live up to expectation. He has declared his intention to fight for his place in Brendan Rodgers Liverpool side. The former Geordie was left out of last week's Europa League match in Belarus due to a groin injury. Sam Allardyce's team are no more interested in either a temporary or a permanent move for the Liverpool flop. Liverpool's next match will be against FC Gomel on Thursday night.

Preview: West Brom V Arsenal

West Bromwich Albion holds the key for Arsenal's UEFA Champions League qualification campaign. The Gunners have been struggling in recent times. After playing a goalless draw with Chelsea, they lost to Wigan at the Emirates Stadium and drew against Norwich City at the same venue. Arsene Wenger's men must wake from their slumber if they don't want to miss out on Europe's elite club competition for the first time in over a decade. The first leg of this match ended in a three nil win for Arsenal on 5th November, 2011. Roy Hodgson will hope to finish his West Brom career with a win after he was confirmed as England's new boss earlier in the month. The last meeting between these two sides at The Hawthorns ended in a 2-2 draw in March,2011. If Arsenal should lose this match while Newcastle and Tottenham are able to gran three points each in their respective games, then the Arsenal board might be forced to take some decisive steps on the future of Wenger who is yet to win a trophy in the last seven years.

Peter Odemwingie is capable of creating a big problem for the Arsenal defence. On the other hand, Robin Van Persie can erase Thierry Henry's 30 league goal record if he can score against Roy Hodgson's men on Sunday.

Our prediction: West Bromwich 3-2 Arsenal

Preview: Liverpool VS West Bromwich Albion

Liverpool are currently on a three match unbeaten run which is quite unusual for the Reds based on their poor form in this season's English Premier League. The Reds are presently one point behind arch-rivals, Everton. The reverse fixture between these two teams ended in a 2-0 win for Kenny Dalglish's men. Liverpool are the reigning Carling Cup Champions and they will meet Chelsea in the FA Cup final next month. Glen Johnson has fully recovered from the injury he sustained against Cardiff in February and he will be expected to be on the starting line up against the Baggies. Roy Hodgson will definitely have to cope with the hostile Anfield crowd that was infuriated with his performance when he was in charge of the team in 2010. Peter Odemwingie is the top scorer for the visitors while Suarez has scored eight league goals for Kenny Dlaglish's men.

Our prediction: Liverpool 2-1 West Bromwich
