Soccer transfer gists for May 2014

Kenneth Omeruo of Chelsea has been linked with a move to Lille of France. The Nigerian international who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough has been very impressive for the Championship side since his loan spell started at the beginning of the season. The deal could be sealed before the start of the 2014 FIFA World cup in Brazil.

Lille are on the verge of securing a Champions league spot in the French Ligue 1.

Ogenyi Onazi of SS Lazio is interested in a move to Liverpool. The Nigerian player confirmed that he would be willing to join the English giants in a recent interview. Onazi was linked to the Merseyside club in January, but he couldn't agree a deal based on personal terms.

Christian Tello of Barcelona could be on his way out of FC Barcelona. The young Spanish winger is currently valued at $15m. Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in the player's services.

Adam Lallana is close to joining Liverpool ahead of next season. The Southampton player is also wanted by Manchester United and a host of other premier league teams.

John Obi Mikel has emerged as a top transfer target for Inter Milan. The Chelsea midfielder attracted the interest of the Italians last summer, but Mikel was reluctant to move away from Stamford Bridge.

Louis Van Gaal is interested in becoming the next manager of Manchester United. The Dutchman is yet to name his World cup squad for Netherlands, but there are rumours that the Old Trafford giants have agreed to make him the next manager.

Galatasaray are keen to have the services of Nigerian international,John Mikel Obi. The Turkish side want the Chelsea midfielder to join his compatriot-John Yobo in Istanbul. Mikel's agent said the transfer of the player depends on their decision to keep him or not.

Stevan Jovetic has expressed his desire to join Italian league champions,Juventus. The Fiorentina star has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Napoli in the past month.

West Ham United are not ready to pay £15million in order to sign Andy Carroll on a permanent deal. The Liverpool striker was with the Hammers on a season loan.

Manchester City are expected to complete the signing of Jesus Navas before the end of this week. The managerless club has signed Fernandinho fron Schakter Donetsk last week.

AC Milan have received a bid from Manchester City for El Sharaawy. The English club are ready to pay £20million and Carlos Tevez in order to get the 20 year old player.
